1.7.5. Anti-blocking system of brakes

The anti-blocking system of brakes (ABS) prevents blocking of wheels at sharp braking or at movement on the road with a non-uniform covering. The electronic control unit anti-blocking system of brakes (ABS) traces frequency of rotation of wheels of the car and regulates pressure of brake liquid in working brake cylinders. Thereby in emergencies or on the slippery road this system improves controllability of the car during braking.

NOTE
In operating time of anti-blocking system of brakes (ABS) when braking on a pedal of a brake the weak pulsation can be felt. Also during movement of the car there can be a noise in motor office. These are the normal phenomena, they specify that the anti-blocking system of brakes (ABS) works correctly.

ATTENTION
The anti-blocking system of brakes (ABS) cannot prevent road accidents (failures) owing to the wrong or dangerous maneuvering. Though it also promotes improvement of controllability of the car during emergency braking, always observe a safe distance from going ahead of the car. Speed of the car is necessary for reducing in adverse traffic conditions. In the cases listed below the brake way of cars with anti-blocking brake system ABS can be longer, than at cars without it.
Movement on gravel roads and the roads covered with snow.
Movement with the established chains of antisliding.
Movement on roads on which surface there are roughnesses, holes, etc., on bumpy or other roads with a bad covering.
Speed of movement on such roads should be lowered. Do not check the safety provided by the car, equipped with anti-blocking system of brakes (ABS), passing turns or moving on high speeds.
