1.7.22. Replacement of lamps of system of illumination of the car

Before replacement of a lamp be convinced that the switch is in the situation "OFF" ("Off"). In the subsequent drawings it is shown, how it is possible to replace lighting lamps. At replacement use only those lamps which have the corresponding capacity.

1. Let's to a lamp cool down.

2. Hold a lamp for the plastic basis, do not touch by hands of a glass flask.

3. Disconnect a food wire from a reverse side of the plastic basis on a back part of a headlight.

4. Remove a protective cover (fig. 1.185).

5. Press a spring and remove a lamp.

6. Remove a protective cap from a replaced lamp and establish a new lamp, having combined its plastic basis with a headlight opening. Clasp a lamp spring, establish a protective cover and connect a food wire (fig. 1.186).

7. At utilization of an old lamp use a protective cap and cardboard packing.

8. Check correctness of adjustment of a beam of light of a headlight.

ATTENTION The halogen lamp is filled under pressure gas, and in case of destruction of its flask the set of splinters therefore at service of lamps always put on goggles scatters. In operating time of a lamp protect it from influence of grains of sand or scratches, and also from hit on its surface of various liquids. Include a lamp only when it is established in a headlight. In case of damage of a headlight or emergence of cracks on it replace a headlight. Store lamps in a place inaccessible to children and accurately address with the used lamp.

Before carrying out adjustment of a beam of light of headlights check pressure in tires. All tires should have identical nominal pressure of air.

Establish the car on an equal platform and several times press a front and rear bumper. Establish the car at distance of 3000 mm from a wall on which the adjusting screen is located.

Be convinced that the car is not loaded (there is nothing except, a spare wheel, a jack, the tools, full volume of cooling liquid of the engine, engine oil and fuel).

Wash up rasseivatel of headlights of head light and include a passing beam of headlights.

Open a cowl.

On the adjusting screen will draw the horizontal line and vertical lines (passing through the center of each headlight).

Then will draw the line passing parallel to and on 30 mm below the horizontal line.

By means of a krestovy screw-driver adjust the line of border of illumination of a passing beam of headlights within horizontal parallel lines.

By means of a krestovy screw-driver adjust the line of border of illumination of a passing beam of headlights within vertical parallel lines.

If during body repair of a forward part of a body of the car headlights of head light assembled were replaced, it is necessary to check adjustment of a beam of light of headlights with screen use, as is shown in drawing 1.188. Establish the switch of light of headlights in the provision of a passing beam.

Adjust a beam of light of headlights so that own axis of a beam of light was parallel to the central line of a body of the car and coincided in the point of "R" shown in drawing 1.188.

Dashed lines in drawing designated the centers of headlights of head light.

Designations

«W» – distance from the horizontal central line of headlights of head light to the earth: 656 mm.

«L» – distance between centers headlights of head light: 1164 mm.

Distance between headlights of head light and the screen on which check is made: 3000 mm.
