2.7.7.36. Catalytic converter

Efficiency of catalytic converter is shown in its ability to oxidation of an oxide of carbon and hydrocarbons (SN). The control unit the engine compares signals forward and back oxygen sensors for moment definition when tension of a signal of the back oxygen sensor starts to coincide with tension of a signal of the forward sensor. In process of wear of catalytic converter the form of a signal of the back oxygen sensor starts to coincide with a form of a signal of the forward sensor since converter is sated with oxygen and becomes incapable with former efficiency to use oxygen for oxidation of hydrocarbons and a carbon oxide in water and carbon dioxide. At completely worn-out converter signals of the forward and back oxygen sensor completely coincide.
