8.3.11. Removal of the module of a safety cushion of the passenger (PAB)

NOTE Do not assort and do not repair the safety cushion module. Do not drop the block, do not allow module pollution by water, oil or greasing. Replace the module in the presence of dents, cracks, deformations or a rust. The module of a pillow should be stored on a flat surface by a slip up. Do not put any subjects on an overlay of a pillow. Do not allow heating of the module of a pillow over 93 °C. Blasting and utilization of a pillow should be carried out according to special procedure. Never try to measure resistance of an electrofuse of a pillow, even by means of a special tester: sudden blasting a pillow which will lead to accident is possible. If the pillow worked, the module of a pillow should be replaced with the new.

Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.

ATTENTION Before the beginning of works make a pause not less than 30 pages.

Remove a ware box.

Disconnect the socket of the module of a safety cushion of the passenger.

Remove the forward panel and remove the module of a safety cushion of the passenger.

The upholstery of the module of a safety cushion of the passenger is incorporated with an upholstery of the forward panel. Therefore when blasting a pillow the forward panel should be replaced.
