The sensor of temperature of cooling liquid is established in the pipeline of cooling liquid on a head of cylinders. It takes temperature of cooling liquid and gives out a signal on the control unit the engine. The sensor is executed in the form of a termistor sensitive to change of temperature. Electric resistance of the sensor decreases with temperature increase. EBU determines temperature of cooling liquid by size of tension of a signal of the sensor and establishes optimum enrichment of a working mix at engine warming up (fig. 2.184)

Whether check there corresponds resistance of the sensor to norm.
Resistance of the sensor:
- at temperature 60 ° With: 123,8–172,8 Ohm;
- at temperature 115 ° With: 23,5–29,5 Ohm.
Check that the thermostat is correctly established in the case and its flange densely adjoins to the case in an installation site.
Establish an inlet branch pipe of system of cooling with new laying.
Fill system of cooling with pure cooling liquid.
The moment of an inhaling of the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid: 20–40 N · m.
