Fastenings of humeral seat belts of forward seats regulated on height

The height of fastening of a seat belt of a forward seat can be adjusted in one of 4 provisions. If fastening of a seat belt is located too close to a neck, the belt cannot provide the maximum protection. The humeral part of a belt should be adjusted so that it passed across a breast and in the middle of a near shoulder to a door. to adjust height of fastening of a belt, press the blocking button of height of fastening of a seat belt and move down or up belt fastening to desirable situation which provides dense contact of a belt to a shoulder. For fixing of fastening of a belt release the blocking button. After that try to move seat belt fastenings down or up to be convinced that it is reliably fixed in this situation.

ATTENTION Fastening of a seat belt should be fixed during car movement. The wrong adjustment of height of fastening of a seat belt can reduce considerably its efficiency at failure.

To fasten a seat belt, extend it from the involving mechanism and insert a belt level (a latch uvula) into its lock before click. The seat belt automatically chooses the demanded length only after the zone belt is adjusted. Watch that the belt was correctly fastened and it was not overwound.

Never put on a zone seat belt across an abdominal cavity. In case of failure the belt can sharply run into a stomach and increase risk of receiving a trauma. When the belt is located too highly, danger of raises that the passenger will slip out from under a belt in case of a road accident (failure) or at sharp braking. It can lead to death or to serious traumas. Both hands should not be at the same time under or over a belt. One hand should be under, and another over a belt, as is shown in drawing 1.118.

Never push a seat belt near at hand, located closer to a door.

For an otstegivaniye of a seat belt undertake a level (a latch uvula) and press the button on the belt lock. When the belt will be will unfasten, it will be automatically will be cleaned back in involving mechanism.

If it does not occur, check a belt on lack of a perekruchivaniye and repeat attempt again.

To fasten a seat belt with fastening in two points, insert a uvula of a latch to the lock. Fixing of the lock is accompanied by characteristic click. Check reliability of fastening of the lock of a seat belt and be convinced that the belt is not overwound.

When using seat belt with fastening in two points, adjust its length so that it fitted tightly a body. Fasten a belt and slightly tighten it to eliminate sagging. A belt it is necessary to have as it is possible below on hips. The high arrangement of a belt increases risk of receiving a trauma in case of a road accident (failure).

ATTENTION The mechanism of a pristegivaniye of a zone central seat belt of a back seat differs from mechanisms of humeral seat belts of a back seat. During a pristegivaniye of humeral belts or a zone central seat belt of a back seat be convinced that the necessary lock for receiving the maximum protection is used.
